Work Group Activities:


Monroe County CARES recently participated in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. The Coalition Collected 36.5 pounds of medications that day that were disposed of by the Kentucky State Police.

There are two Prescription Drug Drop Box locations in Tompkinsville: The Monroe County Sherriff's Department and the Tompkinsville Police Department.

They are available to the public as a disposal site for unwanted prescriptions. Click here to see what medications are accepted and to learn more about the drop box.

CARES provides prescription drug lock boxes as ways to safely store medications. Boxes are available upon request and at CARES community events, such as the annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
